Just read the news that the San Marino’s school are #1 in the STATE and La Canada #3..So, what is the difference between them and Pasadena..Demographics?
did you get my email?
I’d say it’s demographics. San Marino and La Canada are smaller and just as wealthy as Pasadena.
wow – what an amazing article! as children bussed to jackson elementary (where I received an inspirational education in a classroom representing many many nationalities) i had no idea i was a ‘ground-breaker’! my parents, keen christians but not at all of this fundamentalist right-wing variety, supported this integration. They could not vote locally, of course, being australian. i made wonderful friends, learnt so much, and have passed that on to my children who all have friends from many racial backgrounds. i’m glad i was bussed in that yellow bus from fuller seminary up to jackson elementary.
