this is what i give to newly weds anytime I go to a wedding. It has helped me so much.
Don’t forget that you’re still two individuals.
Thanks for stopping by and congratulations on your wedding.
As an aside, JJ and I were married in a civil in Beverly Hills as well. A JotP did a quickie ceremony in her living room. Best wedding ever:).
Rule number one: Don’t sweat the small stuff.
Rule number two: It’s all small stuff.
Rule number three: Chocolate.
Actually there are occasionally big things too. But not sweating the small things makes room for handling them when they come up.
Congratulations!
1–Don’t go to bed mad at each other.
2–Ask yourself “does this REALLY matter to me?” before picking a fight about something like the dishes. Be flexible.
Heehee Jilly I don’t think you want to hear the advice people have given me about marriage! Good heavens.
Carry on.
Emma’s advice: Keep your rings on!
I doubt I have anything that you haven’t already thought of – just love one another. There – see? You’d already thought of that, hadn’t you?
Enjoy one another’s company!
It’ll pass but that doesn’t mean it should not be mentioned. Play fair, speak your mind, keep the airspace open and talk to listen and be heard.
