They look wonderful. I had an upside down cake on Memorial Day that my daughter made with apriums and it was fabulous. I had never heard of them before.
They’re a cross between apricots and plums. I’m not a pluot fan, but apriums somehow get the best of both fruits — they’re juicy and plum-apricot flavored — they look more like apricots but taste more like plums to me.
We picked up dozens of peaches, plums and apricots at the farmers’ market on Saturday. This morning, there were 2 apricots and one plum left on the counter.
The red-inside plums from the stand also selling the apriums were the best plums I’ve had in years. The yellow peaches from the stand all the way in the back were amazing, too. Ronen was grabbing them off the counter all by himself, one after another, all weekend long.
That’s what my fruit bowl looked like on Saturday. By Sunday, it was considerably less full:). Which is a shame really. I want to get around to cooking something with them. But with family in town (namely hungry siblings) I’ll likely have to wait a few weeks :).

Ours are almost all gone, too. The red inside plums are amazing! We’ll try the peaches next week — thanks for the tip.
