Apartment building on the move

This apartment building is on the move.
Half of it is parked in this public lot on Union across the street from Vroman’s.
It looks like a giant doll house.
Here’s the front close up. Look, you can see all the mailboxes by the front door.
The other half is still at its original site on Union near Los Robles getting ready to move later this week.
This is a great series of pics. It sounds like a children’s story/video. (I know you’ve gotten that comment before.)
Utterly amazing to see how this is done, and funny to see the window air conditioner sticking out. There’s a story in this somewhere about a tenant that slept for a week, then came out to check the mail while the whole place was rolling down a city street.
Jill tells the best stories because she used to be a 1st grade teacher (right?).

This is the smartest idea ever.
Imagine if a City Council member had a mobile home? He/she could move into different districts and run for every seat!
I’ve been walking by that building the last couple days and it cracks me up each time I see it. My fiance and I were talking today about how funny it would be to see a doghouse up on stilts right next to it.
