The bar in the Bordeaux Room at Madeleine’s is a great place for a quiet drink. It is one of the few bars in Pasadena with no television.

I visited Bahooka in Rosemead for the first time last weekend. It’s a tiki bar and restaurant with aquariums all around the building and above all the tables. It’s hard to get a sense of the decor from these pictures, but it’s pretty dense and pretty impressive. If you like flaming drinks and aquariums too, it’s worth checking out.

We stopped by The Vault in December, and there was good live music and a mix of people. I’m not usually a sports bar person (because I’m not really a sports person), but I liked the way this place felt.
